I'm Matt, a solo indie game developer. I've had a passion for both playing and making games since I was a kid.

History

Humble beginnings

I started playing games when I was around 3 years old. My parents said I was playing Super Mario Bros. when my hands could barely fit over the controller. I never thought it would be possible to make games until I stumbled upon a Japanese ROM of Dante RPG Maker for Super Famicom when I was about 12 years old.

Early career

I created my first full game, Lucid Awakening, using RPG Maker 2000. It never made it far outside of the RPG Maker community, but I loved it enough that I later made a sequel, Lucid Awakening 2, which was the first game I released on Steam. Along the way I've made several other small games and apps as well.

Recent career

I got a job teaching game development with Unity 3D at a university. I was there for about 5 years, but I quit so I could work for my brother's new business doing software and IT work for local businesses. I also wanted to have more time to work on my current project - a lighthearted RPG called Video Game Fables.
